Why Train With Us?

Practical experience. Personal support. A place to belong.

Train to become a confident, inclusive primary teacher with SCITTELS. Across East and South East London, our partnership brings together classroom experience, expert mentoring and training grounded in educational research.

Learn in real classrooms

A typical week combines four days in school with one day of centre-based training, helping you connect new learning with everyday teaching.

Support that knows you

Your school-based mentor and SCITTELS Lead Mentor help you recognise your strengths, respond to challenges and identify your next steps.

Prepare to teach every child

Explore SEND, adaptive teaching and anti-racism throughout your training, including visits to specialist provision during each Intensive Training and Practice experience.

Turn research into practice

Observe, rehearse, teach and reflect. Develop practical approaches informed by evidence and consider the difference they make for pupils.

Belong in your community

Learn in diverse school communities where children's languages, identities and experiences are valued. Your own background matters, too.

Your wellbeing matters

Wherever possible, we consider travelling distance when arranging placements, recognising your commitments beyond training.

Find your route into teaching

We offer tuition-fee QTS-only and QTS with PGCE courses, alongside a Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship for experienced candidates with an employing school in place. Explore our courses to find the route that suits your experience and circumstances.
