What we look for: Selection Day

We want someone who has a genuine interest in teaching and possesses the qualities that will ensure completion of this very demanding course.

We have a duty to ensure that you have the appropriate personal and intellectual skills to be a teacher.

In addition to the above the purpose of the selection day is to assess whether you have the potential to meet the standards for Qualified Teacher Status.

You will be able to demonstrate your potential through the activities of the day which include a period of classroom observation and interaction with children; written work reflecting on that experience; reading comprehension; a maths audit and a personal interview.

We offer successful candidates constructive feedback of the day.
