The GTP route into teaching is salaried. You will be the employee of the school at which you are trained and will be paid monthly.

Salary for the GTP course is in the region of £18,200. Some allowance for prior work may be taken into consideration in your training year and additional payment may be made for this. Such cases are made on an individual basis and in negotiation with the employing head teacher.
